Ms. Josephine Villegas Ramos studied Development Management , Master of Management- Major in Development Management, from the University of the Philippines at Los Baños. Worked with the Department of Agriculture-National Agricultural and Fishery Council for 22 years (1982-2004)
where she gained exposures with the Cacao, Coffee, Rubber, Rootcrops and Ornamentals industries. An Awardee for the 1998 National Search for Outstanding Department of Agriculture Employee- Planning Category. Awarded Recognition for Contributions for the Sustainable Cacao Development in 2009 by the World Cocoa Foundation, an organization of global Cacao and Chocolate Industries. In 2012, together with a handful of colleagues, formed the Organization for Partnerships, Teamwork and Initiatives on Opportunities for Nature Stewards, Incorporated (OPTIONS) to further integrative development works for coffee, cacao and coconut communities. Serving as the OPTIONS Managing Director, Ms. Ramos represents the organization and partner farming communities in various consultative, training and seminar activities, and events held in both domestic and in foreign countries organized by Philippine government Institutions, Local Government Units, and other private organizations.
