Biography:
Shirin Bamezai is a PhD candidate at the Centre of Synthetic Biology, Imperial College London in the Rodrigo Ledesma-Amaro lab. She obtained an MEng degree in Molecular Bioengineering at Imperial College London, completing her master’s project under the supervision of Dr. Ledesma-Amaro. In addition to her research in metabolic engineering, she has engaged in science policy research authoring a background study for the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) and obtaining the Institute of Food Science and Technology (IFST) POST fellowship.
