Pessi is currently employed at Dsm-firmenich. and works with biosciences and process innovation. She obtained her PhD in 2017 from the University of Helsinki, graduated as MSc from the same institution 2013 and conducted the MSc thesis research at Harvard University. Additionally, she has founded a start-up company and worked 5 years in the pharmaceutical industry. Over the course of her career, Dr. Pessi has focused on research topics such as controlled release, enhancing bioavailability, particle engineering, microfluidics, and solid-state analysis.
