Biography:
Prof. Amarendra Kumar Singh completed his M.Sc. (Ag) from the Department of Soil Science and Agricultural Chemistry, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi, India in 1988 and Ph.D. in 1993 from the same University with specialization in Environmental Soil Science. He worked as Research Associate in BHU and joined as Lecturer in the Department of Agricultural Chemistry and Soil Science in 2000 under Nagaland University (A Central University). Presently he is a Professor under the same University. He served as Head of the Department between 2020 to 2023. He supervised many M.Sc. (Ag) and Ph.D. students and published more than 60 research articles. His area of interest is soil fertility management, plant nutrition and environmental soil science. He is the Center In-Charge of AICRP on Soybean since 2010 and also the Co-PI of AICRP on Linseed.
