Title : Innovations are drivers of the world global food security and sustainability when must Sub-Sahara Africa countries are digging their own graves

Abstract:

We all know that food science and technologies offer sustainable, innovative and economically solutions to global food security challenges. Tech innovation is also needed to build resilience against climate impacts and secure production, knowing that efficient, nutrients-dense production systems are required to meet the growing population’s nutritional needs. Linking sustainability with technologies produces environmentally responsible, economically viable food system. Worldwide food security requires a primary focus on resources towards quality nutritious consumption, agriculture food innovation development, reuse and recycling of food waste, and a strong climate change mitigation strategy. However, this effort seen to be impossible for Sub-Saharan African (SSA) nations to achieve it.

This presentation will enlight and explore cutting edge innovations transforming food processing and safety standards across the industry, while study sustainable and alternative production systems that cut environmental impact and keeping yields. It will also explore digital transformation and data driven tools that are reshaping food production and supply chains; will foster partnerships between academia, industry, and research institutions to accelerate innovation implementation; and will provide actionable insights for implementation emerging technologies in commercial operations and research programs.

As keys take aways of my Presentation: Food science innovations seen to be vital for global food security and sustainability; while biotech, digitalisation, and sustainability together create new innovation opportunities. Cross-sector collaboration accelerates innovation implementation and impact, and balancing technologies advancement with transparency and consumer trust is critical for adoption. More importantly, evolving regulatory frameworks enable responsible innovation while ensuring safety and quality standards.

Unfortunately, those pharaonic hight quality standards seen not yet to be a preoccupation of most Sub-Sahara Africa countries where observations indicates that nutrition and circular economy positively affect household food security and bidirectional policy implementation. Also, agriculture and food innovation also positively affect food security with a unidirectional approach, and at the same time, climate change impedes household quest to achieve food security with an inverse policy direction.

Prof. Mbahin’s main focus is on the development of innovative, low cost and environment-friendly approach to produce and control Vector-borne diseases. I hold a Ph.D in Agricultural and Veterinary Entomology &Parasitology and M.Sc. in Tropical Animal Health, with more than 20 years international work experience around the African Continent. I’m actually the Vice Dean of the Faculty of Agronomy and Veterinary Sciences, Universite des Montagnes in Cameroon. I have always during all my assignments, try to provide necessary advice on technical matters and backstopping stakeholders to ensure that they are able to perpetuate them for the benefit of theirs lives.
