Biography:
Dr. Yoav Banitt received his PhD in computational neuroscience from the Hebrew University, Jerusalem in 2010. His research involved detailed neural network models of the visual cortex in mammals, as well as in the neocritical column model of the Blue Brain project, under the supervision of Prof. Idan Segev in the same institution, and Prof. Kevan Martin from ETH, Zurich. After completing his PhD, he was co-founder and CTO in two startups, until in 2019 he founded Robotic Perception, where he is now CEO. Robotic Perception was awarded Horizon 2020 funding for developing an autonomous electric vehicle for vineyards.
