Biography:
Jose Manuel Lopez Nicolas is Professor of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at the University of Murcia (Spain). His research focuses on molecular encapsulation, cyclodextrins and the characterization of bioactive compounds, particularly stilbenes, with applications in food science and biotechnology. He has led research and knowledge-transfer projects and has contributed to university–industry collaboration through the spin-off BetaElegans. He is also actively involved in science communication and has served as Vice-Rector for Knowledge Transfer, Communication and Science Outreach at the University of Murcia.
